What is Lugbook?

Lugbook is a peer-to-peer marketplace that connects travellers who have spare luggage space with buyers who need goods brought from other countries. Carriers earn money on trips they're already making.

Is Lugbook free to use?

Yes — Lugbook charges zero platform fees. Any fee you pay is agreed directly between you and the carrier.

Who can use Lugbook?

Anyone aged 18+ can sign up as a Buyer. To be a Carrier, you need to be a verified traveller with a confirmed upcoming trip.

How do I request a product?

Go to the Demand page, select the country the product comes from, fill in what you want and your maximum budget, and post it. Carriers heading your way will see your request and can accept it.

How do I receive my goods?

You'll arrange a meetup with your Carrier at a location you both agree on — typically near an airport or transport hub. Lugbook AI suggests safe public meetup spots.

What if my goods don't arrive?

Contact us immediately via the Help chat. We'll mediate between you and the Carrier. Always confirm pickup in-app before paying.

How do I list my luggage space?

Go to Supply → Add incoming, fill in your travel dates, origin, destination, and the items you're willing to carry. Buyers will see your listing and can place bids.

What can I carry?

You can carry any legal, non-hazardous, non-restricted goods. You are personally responsible for customs compliance — always declare goods accurately.

How do I get paid?

Payment is agreed directly with the Buyer. Lugbook recommends receiving payment before handover or using a trusted escrow arrangement.

How does Lugbook verify users?

All accounts are email-verified. Carriers are additionally verified against their travel bookings. We use Supabase Auth for secure authentication.

Are meetups safe?

We use AI to suggest safe, public meetup locations near airports. We strongly recommend meeting in daylight, in busy public areas.

What items are prohibited?

Firearms, controlled substances, counterfeit goods, items under trade sanctions, and anything illegal in either country. See our Terms & Conditions for the full list.
